Digital safety for everyday life

Online fraud has become one of the most common ways people are targeted at every age, and the risks only grow as more of daily life moves online: banking, shopping, healthcare portals, even keeping in touch with family. This programme is built specifically for people who want practical, no-nonsense protection rather than technical theory. Over a focused 90-minute live session, a SilverMind educator walks participants through the scam patterns that appear most often in emails, text messages and phone calls: fake delivery notifications, impersonated bank alerts, romance and investment scams, and the pressure tactics scammers rely on to stop people thinking clearly. Participants learn how to verify a suspicious message before acting on it, how to set up stronger passwords and two-factor authentication without feeling overwhelmed, and how to shop and bank online with confidence. The session works equally well for individuals, families learning together, or groups organised through a library, community centre or senior citizens' association.
